Outdoor Weather Station
Six-parameter monitoring — temperature, humidity, wind direction, wind speed, light intensity, solar radiation.
PKYDRIP GREENHOUSE CLIMATE CONTROL
One climate control platform for outdoor weather monitoring and greenhouse equipment automation. Controls wet walls, exhaust fans, circulation fans, shade curtains and roll-up ventilation from a single Android industrial controller — with condition-based logic and full event logging.
SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The PKYDrip Greenhouse Climate Control System connects an outdoor weather station to the greenhouse controller, giving the system real data on air temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, light intensity and solar radiation — before those conditions reach the crop.
Inside the greenhouse, temperature and humidity sensors at canopy level feed the same controller. When any measurement crosses a user-defined threshold, the system responds: wet walls activate, fan banks stage on, shade curtains deploy, roll-up ventilation opens or closes. Every action is logged with the sensor reading and trigger condition that caused it.
The system is built on the same Android industrial controller platform as the PKYDrip fertigation system. On S-series and P-series installations, both systems run on the same hardware with separate dedicated interfaces — climate operators see climate data; fertigation operators see fertigation data. The two interfaces do not share screens.
Six-parameter monitoring — temperature, humidity, wind direction, wind speed, light intensity, solar radiation.
Canopy-level temperature and humidity sensors via RS485 Modbus.
Wet walls, water pumps, multiple exhaust fan banks and circulation fans — staged activation by condition.
Shade curtains and roll-up film ventilation, controlled by light intensity or temperature setpoints.
AND/OR conditions, time windows and sensor averaging prevent false triggering from transient readings.
Every action recorded: timestamp, trigger condition, sensor reading, equipment state, run duration.
SENSING
The outdoor station provides advance warning. If wind speed rises sharply or solar radiation surges, the system prepares equipment before the greenhouse interior is affected.
| Parameter | Detail |
|---|---|
| Air temperature | Outdoor temperature probe, RS485 |
| Air humidity | Outdoor relative humidity sensor, RS485 |
| Wind direction | Wind vane, 16-point compass resolution |
| Wind speed | Anemometer, 0–60 m/s range |
| Light intensity | Pyranometer / lux sensor |
| Solar radiation | Solar radiation sensor, W/m² |
| Polling interval | Configurable, default 10 seconds |
| Parameter | Detail |
|---|---|
| Air temperature | Multiple probes, RS485 Modbus RTU |
| Air humidity | Capacitive RH sensors, RS485 Modbus RTU |
| Sensor placement | Canopy level, user-defined quantity |
| Sensor addressing | Modbus device address configurable |
Sensor quantity and placement are confirmed at project configuration. Additional sensor nodes can be added without changing the controller hardware.
EQUIPMENT CONTROL
| Equipment | Control Method |
|---|---|
| Wet walls (cooling pads) | On/off by temperature setpoint; pump interlock enforced |
| Wet wall water pumps | Sequenced with wet wall activation; dry-run protection |
| Exhaust fans | Multiple banks; staged activation by temperature threshold |
| Circulation fans | Independent scheduling and condition-based control |
| Equipment | Control Method |
|---|---|
| Shade curtains | Deploy/retract by outdoor light intensity setpoint |
| Roll-up film ventilation | Open/close by greenhouse temperature or manual command |
All equipment groups start in sequence, not simultaneously. Each group is limited to ≤ 2 kW inrush load, protecting generators, transformers and grid connections from simultaneous load spikes. Inter-group delay is configurable from 1 to 60 seconds. Group composition and sequence are confirmed at project configuration.
Every piece of equipment is controlled by user-defined conditions, not fixed timers. Operators set the rules. The system executes, logs and repeats them consistently across every cycle.
Conditions can combine AND/OR logic, time windows and sensor averaging to prevent false triggering from transient spikes in a single reading.
| If this condition | Then this action |
|---|---|
| Greenhouse temperature > 28°C | Activate wet wall pump → start exhaust fan bank 1 |
| Greenhouse temperature > 32°C | Start exhaust fan bank 2 |
| Outdoor light intensity > 60,000 lux | Deploy shade curtain to 70% |
| Wind speed > 8 m/s | Close roll-up ventilation |
| Greenhouse temperature < 18°C (night window) | Close all ventilation |
INTEGRATION
On S-series and P-series installations, the climate control and fertigation systems run on the same Android industrial controller. Each has its own dedicated interface module. Operators see only the data relevant to their task.
All sensor readings and equipment states are accessible via RS485 Modbus RTU/TCP. Connect to any SCADA, PLC or third-party monitoring platform. Register map available to qualified partners.
Push outdoor weather data, greenhouse readings and all equipment events to ThingsBoard, AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub or any MQTT-compatible broker.
Android interface fully rebrandable — logo, color scheme and product name. Available via OEM agreement. Minimum order: 5 units.
The primary machine for commercial greenhouse climate management. An integrated controller with outdoor weather station, greenhouse sensor inputs, and control outputs for wet walls, fans, curtains and ventilation — all in one cabinet.
